Lisa Hunsicker, MD, FACS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Lisa Hunsicker has been practicing medicine since 1995. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston before moving on to her General Surgery training at the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Hunsicker then returned to Texas to complete a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Missing the beautiful Rocky Mountains, she returned to Colorado to open her own practice where she could engage in the art and practice of plastic surgery.

Dr. Hunsicker is highly skilled in the latest plastic surgery techniques and specializes in breast and body contouring surgeries. She is also on faculty with Sound Surgical, where she instructs other surgeons on surgical techniques with LipoSelection by Vaser®.

A strong advocate for women’s health issues, Dr. Hunsicker believes that we all have a responsibility to give back to our community. In addition to volunteering at health fairs and other local events, she has traveled to El Salvador with ”Austin Smiles” where she performed reconstructive surgery on children born with cleft lip and palate. She will soon be completing a medical mission to Peru to provide care for burn patients.

Dr. Hunsicker stays current with the rapid advancements in plastic surgery techniques and technology by participating regularly in the continuing medical education courses that will most benefit her patients. This commitment to learning compelled her to initiate and run a bi-monthly education meeting for local plastic surgeons where the latest research and developments in plastic surgery are presented and discussed.

Dr. Hunsicker has achieved many honors. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
